Our team
Behind Graines d’Espoir, we are four French women who have been working for several years in the medical and social care of underprivileged children in Togo. After witnessing the lack of resources of many families fighting against the diseases of their children, we decided to come to their support. With this in mind, we decided to create Graines d’Espoir. We are now managing a Care Center and a Respite Home, where we employ a local team of nurses, coordinators and specialised educators. They welcome, consult and offer personalised care to many children suffering from malnutrition, disabilities and chronic illnesses.

Amélie
“I met Laurie, Pauline and Célia during several humanitarian missions in Togo. Our different experiences, our characters and our visions of the world have allowed us to build a project that reflects our values and the principles that we want to convey. At Graines d’Espoir, I am in charge of the administration as well as the legal aspects of the organization. I also design and create some of the products offered on the website. To me, Graines d’Espoir is the result of great teamwork, a strong friendship and the promise of beautiful projects.”
Pauline
“I discovered Togo in 2018 during my first humanitarian mission. The experiences I lived there have transformed my life, and I have formed a deep attachment to this country and its culture. Graines d’Espoir is the result of a strong friendship and the profound devotion that each of us has for humanitarian work. It is with great passion and enthusiasm that I am now participating in carrying out our mission, by using my knowledge in the field of communications. Alongside Célia, Amélie and Laurie, I have been working to ensure the visibility of our organization, in particular via our website.”
Laurie
“I am a state-registered nurse and one of the center’s medical advisors. Since 2015, and through my experiences in hospitals, dispensaries and villages, I have been trained in the pathologies and care of children in Togo, particularly malnourished children. In collaboration with our local medical staff, as well as French and Togolese doctors, I coordinate the care of the children. I supervise their treatment in relation to the diagnosis of their pathology, the nature of the tests requested and the appropriate medical treatment. On site, I provide nursing care and assist in the admission of the children and their families.”
Célia
“I am a state-qualified educator and I work in France with children placed in emergency shelters. Having always worked in the fields of medical and social work, I discovered how these areas are addressed in Togo during my first humanitarian mission in 2019. Having fallen in love with the country and its culture, Graines d’Espoir was an evidence for me. My knowledge in social and educational counseling allows me to guide decisions regarding the assistance of families in precarious conditions and in need of psychological and social support. I am also a referent for everything related to finances, and I put my skills into practice in sewing the products we sell on the website.”
