Behind Graines d’Espoir, we are four French women who have been working for several years in the medical and social care of underprivileged children in Togo. After witnessing the lack of resources of many families fighting against the diseases of their children, the need for a care center in the community became clear. With this in mind, we decided to create Graines d’Espoir. We are now managing a care center, where we employ two nurses and a coordinator. They welcome, consult and offer personalized care to many children suffering from malnutrition, disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Our local team
Evrard – Head Nurse
As the center’s Head Paediatric Nurse, Evrard refers, welcomes and carries out the consultations of the children. His role is to take care of the children’s health in its entirety. He coordinates with hospitals and pharmacies to ensure high quality medical and paramedical care.
Mafille – Chaperone
Mafille plays a key role in providing care to the children. She is the primary intermediary between families and caregivers. In collaboration with our nurses, she ensures the admission of the children and takes them to their medical exams. She also manages the center’s financial accounts.
Richard – Full-time nurse
In collaboration with Evrard, Richard welcomes and carries out the consultations of the children at the center. He is responsible for monitoring the health of the children by scheduling check-up appointments and making home visits. He also takes care of the maintenance and control of our medical equipment.
