His story

Roger lives with his mom. When we first met them, the dad had left them and the mom was expecting a new baby. She has a small business selling jars, through which she provides for her children and uncle. After seeing Roger at the polyclinic, our midwife referred him to the Graines d’Espoir center. Roger was suffering from severe undernutrition. At one-year-old, he weighed 4.79 kg at a height of 65 cm. He was fed on porridge, as his mom did not produce enough breast milk. We supported him through medical care at the center and the donation of artificial milk and food supplements.
