Start of care
Her mom had sickle cell disease
When we first met Clarice, at 8 months old, she weighed 6.15 kg and was in a state of undernutrition. Her dad disappeared when he learned that a C-section had to be performed to deliver the baby (an expensive procedure in Togo). Her mom unfortunately passed away in February 2022, following an emergency hospitalization. She suffered from sickle cell disease. Clarice’s grandmother is now looking after her. She is a farmer and has little financial means. We supported them through the donation of artificial milk, as well as medical care at our center.
Would you like to support our children?
Your monthly support allows us to plan for the long term and act quickly in case of an emergency. You will receive regular updates on the children’s progress and on the center as a whole (including written reports, photos and videos).
Efficient and directly available to our teams, your one-time donation helps finance all of our activities. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue to provide care, give hope and change the children’s future.
